Hi $[UD:FIRST_NAME||]$

Suddenly we are nearly a quarter of the way through the year, time flies when you’re having fun. Not to mention that the summer to date has been one to remember.

Survive to 2025 was a phrase coined last year but all indications are that 2025 is going to be tougher. We are certainly noting a change in the market, with cost saving becoming a regular talking point.

Thankfully we are lucky enough to have diversified across multiple trades, which all complement each other, and we are able to pivot to areas of the business that are busier than others when needed. We are also fortunate that we can be a one stop shop around underground, facade and above ground waterproofing, seismic joints, concrete works, screeding and many other permanent or temporary solutions.

One thing that some people might not realise is that we love talking waterproofing and concrete. So feel free to pick up the phone or come and see us about anything. Even if we don’t know it we probably do know who does.

We also get great delight in giving good advice or ideas early on and seeing the positive outcomes that can bring to a client or project.

Below we're highlighting a recent large-scale industrial project, which showcases how our divisions work together to provide a complete solution.

Successfully Delivering a Comprehensive Waterproofing Solution

This large-scale industrial project involved Sansom's Facade, Roofing, and Tanking divisions.

With tight timeframes, technical complexity, and the need for custom solutions, it was a real advantage to be able to have multiple specialist teams working on the project.

Check out Scott Johnston, the Project Manager on the Roofing works, talk about his experience, the challenges and how we solved them, in the video above.

Below, you'll find more information on the work performed across all three
 divisions.

Facade

This project had very specific weatherproofing and fire protection requirements.

Our facade division expertly applied specialised sealant to meet these requirements to ensure lasting safety and performance.

See what else our facade team can do.

Did you know we won a health and safety award?

We are continuously committed to heath and safety - so much so that we were given an award as one of the subcontractors who consistently maintained a high standard of practice.

Roofing

Our roofing team installed TPO membrane roofing across two connected roofs, covering approximately 1,700 square metres.

The scope included managing roughly 90 large plinths and numerous penetrations through the roofing structure.

Did you know each of the rolls of membrane weighed about 200 kilograms and measured four metres in length?

The project demanded significant logistical planning, particularly for material movement and installation sequencing, as the installation process required careful handling of these large rolls

Tanking

We installed more than 10,000 sqm of Allsheet DPM on underslabs and groundbeams for both Buildings 1 and 2.

Alongside this was also a few thousand squares of Volclay Swelltite & Voltex on retaining walls and lift pits.

See what else our tanking team can do.

Did you know the number of conduits housing the cables was enough to run a small city!

There were over 100 conduits ranging in size from 100mm to 300mm - with 68 of them running into one room.
